Kate Moss continues with Vogue Eyewear
Kate: "I am pleased to be the face of the brand for a second year. It is really fashionable with models for all occasions" For the second year in a row, Vogue Eyewear has chosen as the ambassador for its spring/summer 2012 campaign international fashion icon Kate Moss, the symbol of contemporary style and the muse of world-famous stylists and photographers. The collaboration between Vogue Eyewear and the top model is the outcome of an agreement between the Italian brand, a maker of quality products with attractive, elegant designs, and one of this century's major representatives of contemporary style. Kate said: "I am pleased that they asked me to be the face of Vogue Eyewear for a second year. It is a really fashionable brand with models for all occasions and working with Mario is always a pleasure – we have great fun!". Kate is referring to Mario Testino, the famous photographer who was commissioned for the Vogue Eyewear spring/summer 2012 advertising campaign. He and Kate Moss are old friends and he photographed her at the end of September in Kensington Park Road, London. The esteem is mutual, according to Testino: "When I met Kate for the first time, I told her: 'In life you can choose between perfume and cologne. If you use cologne, you'll need a lot because it fades quickly; but with perfume you only need a drop and it will last all night. You are perfume.' How right I was! Kate is a real friend and on the set for the Vogue Eyewear campaign we had enormous fun. Photographing her is always a great joy!". The new spring/summer collection is a skilful blend of retro lines and the brilliant dynamism of the contemporary era. The result is a perfect understanding between femininity and irony that now more than ever before complements the modern conception of glamour that is perfectly embodied by Kate Moss. A sophisticated style, soft, rounded lines, two-color frames in acetate, full or shaded colors: Kate Moss wears six of the iconic models from the Vogue Eyewear collection in colors ranging from wisteria to poppy, from topaz to dark blue and, of course, timeless black and tortoise.
