Essilor Int’l Launches a New 'Eye-Sun Protection Factor' (E-SPF) to Advance Consumer Awareness About Dangers of UV
CHARENTON-LE-PONT, France — Essilor International has launched a new "Eye-Sun Protection Factor" (E-SPF) in order to drive consumer awareness about the importance of protecting eyes from ultraviolet rays. The Essilor-developed international Eye-Sun Protection Factor rating system is similar to the index used to rate skincare and sunscreen products' efficiency, the company said, and will be used and promoted internationally to "help drive understanding of the level of UV protection provided by eyewear."
