“Essilor Explorer”: huge success for the second edition

The Galapagos Islands were the location of the company's exclusive annual appointment with opticians In 2012 Essilor repeated its exclusive "Essilor Explorer" appointment, a journey with the Essilor team that gives opticians a unique experience in a different location every year.   Essilor Explorer began 22 years ago as a moment when the company and opticians could share a journey that became an exploration of the world, places and common values.   The destination chosen for the latest edition was the Galapagos Islands, the enchanting Ecuadorian archipelago that provided the backdrop for an adventurous discovery of the volcanic islands.   Two travel schedules were programmed, one from April 12 through 20 and the other from May 4 through 12, and both had considerable participation by the 'Centro Specialista Varilux' outlets in Italy.   With the guests on the later date were Marco Caccini – Essilor Italia Managing Director – and Laurent Schmitt – Vice President South Europe – who went with the opticians on the marvelous excursions included in the packed itinerary that was organized specifically for the group with the attention to detail that is a distinctive part of Essilor's professionalism.   "We are very pleased that we always have new confirmation from all our customers and the enormous success of the latest 'Essilor Explorer' is a demonstration of this", stated Marco Caccini, Managing Director of Essilor Italia.
