End of Optomaster for Vide Solution
A "course-cum-route" aimed at guiding company collaborators along the road to a positive shopping experience What is the reality of Italian optical outlets? What are the current problems with sales? What are the elements of distinction and innovation? How can wellbeing be created in potential customers? Or, more simply, how can a positive shopping experience be generated? These in brief are the subjects of the day-long course held by Optomaster (www.optomaster.it) for over fifty collaborators - including architects and internal designers – of Vide Solution, the Gibam Shops (www.videsolution.it) brand that specializes in optical store furnishings and is part of the Gibam Group. Roberto Pregliasco – President of Optomaster, accredited professional and successful entrepreneur with many years' experience in the optical sector – guided participants along a route of theory and practice that led to the primary goal: give designers useful information for creating environments which foster an emotional perception that encourages buying. The subjects ranged from general (the optician-optometrist, the reality of the Italian market) to specific (the customer enters the store), with step-by-step clarification of the sector's problems and potential. A day of far from banal work led to the subject of store design, interior architecture, store image and store personality in an area that currently consists of 11,000 outlets, a figure that is certainly interesting for Gibam Vision. «The creation of pleasant, stimulating and emotionally engaging environments can become a tool for generating new value for consumers» – explained course docent Roberto Pregliasco. «Various optical companies, and chains in particular, are now aware that the optical center ambience affects sales and they have created special "settings" that make the buying experience unique and give a competitive advantage that can be defended over time. As a consequence, the creators of these settings must have an intimate knowledge of the specific sector. Consistency and design flexibility are necessary for optical center positioning." «The course was a success» – said Daniel Gomez, Commercial Manager at Gibam Solution and Gibam Shops - «The participants were enthusiastic and wanted it to be repeated as often as possible. We are convinced about the validity of this training as an element of the Gibam Group's distinction and preparation. Special thanks go to the speaker who demonstrated that a correctly designed environment has a greater impact on the choice of a particular optical center by visually impaired people with respect to product offer. Little wood and many design ideas are now offered to the optical entrepreneur.» Gibam's testimony, which will be repeated in 2013, enriched and confirmed the validity and originality of the training provided by Optomaster and highlights the importance of ad hoc training in parallel with and complementary to the standard program specifically for opticians and optometrists.
