Charmant joins Eyeglasses Museum

Charmant joins Eyeglasses Museum

Charmant Group has realized a very prestigious ambition: to be part of the permanent exhibition at the Fondazione Museo dell’Occhiale Onlus.

The Foundation in Pieve di Cadore – Belluno – collects, studies and preserves a heritage of objects, visuals, written and oral accounts about the story of eyeglasses and their various forms. In brief: eyewear history and heritage.

The eyewear chosen for the permanent exhibition is an exclusive model from the Trussardi 1911 collection made by Charmant to celebrate Trussardi’s centenary year in 2011. Because of the event it symbolizes, its refined craftsmanship and exclusive design, the model was considered to be perfectly in line with the unique and historical aspects that the Foundation represents.

When thanking the Foundation for the opportunity, Alessandro Chitotti – country manager for Italy - commented: “It is a huge honor for the Charmant Group to be part of this historical, cultural and prestigious institution. Having a place inside the Fondazione Museo dell’Occhiale is a very significant step for the company”.

Charmant created a limited edition of Trussardi 1911 sunglasses and added to this highly successful model elegant details that enhance not only the essence of Trussardi 1911 but also high-tech innovation. Handmade by Carl Zeiss Vision Sunlens, the lenses have the typical Trussardi 1911 camouflage pattern and meet the highest certified standards of quality. The only one of its kind, the design was created and developed especially for this celebration edition and was launched in June 2011. The 750 handmade examples of this precious frame have a serial number engraved inside the temple and are presented in an elegant camouflage pattern leather case with the limited edition certificate.
