Celebrations in London for new Police campaign

Luke Evans, the brand's new ambassador, took part in the event at the Dstrkt Club in Soho Tuesday, January 24, 2012, at the Dstrkt, a trendy new club in London's Soho, Police gave a party to launch its new 2012 eyewear, watch and jewelry campaign. The guests included the brand's new ambassador to the UK, Welsh actor Luke Evans.   Police celebrated its new campaign dedicated to the brand's iconic blue lenses by holding an event for the press, customers and VIP fans.   In addition to Luke Evans, other party guests included such local celebrities as Aidan Turner, Oliver Jackson Cohen, Rosie Fortescue, Jay Camilleri, Rita Ora, Noelle Reno, Georgie Okel, BB, Milo Cordell and Robbie Furze of "The Big Pink" band, Mary Charteris (DJ) and Leah Weller. After dancing to the MIA, Mary Charteris and Leah Weller DJ set, the guests were wowed by an extraordinary semi-acoustic live performance by electronic rock group "The Big Pink".   Born in South Wales in 1979, Luke Evans moved to London when he was 16 to take up a career in acting. He won a scholarship to the London Studio Centre, where he graduated in 2000 and immediately landed parts in various movies such as 'Tamara Drewe', with friend Gemma Arterton. In 2011 Luke Evans played Aramis in 'The Three Musketeers' and Zeus in the epic film 'Immortals'. For 2012 he has numerous parts lined up: he will play Detective Emmett Fields in "The Raven" by James McTeigue, alongside John Cusack, and Bard the Bowman in Peter Jackson's 'The Hobbit", the prequel of 'The Lord of the Rings Trilogy' on release December 2012. This year Luke will also appear in the thriller 'No One Lives' and in British indie movie, 'Ashes'.
