ABCO Optometric Certification Reaches Two-Year Milestone?

CALABASAS, Calif.—The American Board of Clinical Optometry (ABCO) has just reached its second anniversary since beginning to take applications for certification in March 2010.   Noting the anniversary, ABCO executive director Janet Carter, OD, stated, "The defining characteristic of ABCO certification is that it recognizes that Doctors of Optometry, through the education and testing required to become licensed, have already demonstrated their competence and qualifications for certification of the extensive specialized knowledge in eyecare they already posses."   Read the article on VMail
