Versace creates new label for first line

Versace is preparing a new label for the first line, which should say: 'Made in Italy, Manufactured and Certified by Versace'. This way, Versace guarantees its products are made in Italy.

According to Corriere della Sera, from January this label will be attached to all clothing, purses, shoes and leather articles in the first line. Versace is also looking into a way of certifying the accessories in the first line which are produced under license: eyewear, articles for the home and perfumes. For watches, Versace will guarantee production in Switzerland.

In the end, the Medusa will guarantee the provenance of around 70% of its products.
