Stock Exchange: Luxottica at maximum levels in Milan
Trading in Luxottica shares went well at the Milan stock exchange: at the end of trading yesterday the company closed with a 1.77% increase. The last exchange was made at a price of 16.13 euros, close to the maximum level of the last two years. Since January 1, 2005, stocks have increased by 17.59%.
With over 70% of its turnover in dollars, the thrust for the Del Vecchio group was provided by a drop in the greenback to below the psychological threshold of 1.3 to one euro.
According to insiders, however, investor optimism is also based on expectations about company chief executive Andrea Guerra's presentation in February. Improvements are expected from the point of view of governance and transparency.
