Silhouette: new Caribbean sunglasses
'Caribbean' is Silhouette's catchword for summer 2005. In a constant search for technical and stylistic innovation, Silhouette offers new collections of sunglasses for the upcoming warm weather that feature exclusive colors inspired by the depths of the ocean.
Sunglasses in 'Caribbean', 'Soft Coral', 'Sea Grass', 'Lava Stones', 'Sand Dunes' and 'Tropical Sunset' colors; in other words, the ocean's deepest blue, the pinky-orange of coral, the azure-green of seaweed, the black of volcanic rocks, the golden brown of the sand and the red-orange of an ocean sunset.
Attractive colors underscored by little details, like the narrow contrasting line along the temples of all models and along the frame of the all-round glasses, and lenses that capture the attention with flashes of silver and gold.
The most innovative collections are Spx Modern Art and Elegance. Introduced in 2004, Spx Modern Art features all-round frames in Spx and ß-rich titanium, exclusive materials that allow the glasses to achieve a generously-sized retro look with the accent on color, but with unexpected comfort and lightness. The Spx Modern Art line now has two variants: the first has titanium temples inserted straight into the frame, which means there are no hinges; the second launches an innovative cylindrical hinge, making the glasses easier to put on and take off, even with just one hand.
At the top of the range, Spx Modern Art glasses are handcrafted. The colors are achieved by superimposing three different layers of color, with a thin contrasting line running along the edge of the frame and at the sides of the titanium temples. Three layers of lacquer that make the frame shine with ever-changing reflections. The titanium temples have Spx end-pieces where the color of the circle is repeated and, for lovers of designer wear, clearly show the Silhouette logo.
There are four new models for each of the two Spx Modern Art variants with generous, decidedly feminine proportions, as well as quieter proposals with a masculine taste.
Elegance offers a more sophisticated look: elongated, feline one-piece lenses for the true diva who expects to stand out in a crowd; and a more casual, but intriguing model created for passionate and self-assured women.
Another distinctive feature of Elegance is its side pieces: smoothly curved to comfortably follow the line of the temples, they split at the center and join the frame with an exclusive ball hinge to create an interlacing effect. The colors are classical: black and brown, green and rosé, blue and gold, which are repeated with a special lacquer at the ends of the temples.
The choice is completed with the new colors and new shapes of the Titan Minimal Art, Minimal X and Titan Metallic collections.
