New Xit collection from Eye'DC

New Xit collection from Eye'DC

Xit: three initials to christen the new outstanding collection from Eye'DC, three enigmatic, futuristic letters that hint at what spring/summer 2006 holds in store.

Following their first use of Nxt (a trademark of Intercast Europe) with the launch of the Inclassables in 2004, the Marseilles designers have continued to explore and exploit the material's possibilities and have created an entire range of lifetime-guaranteed optical and sunglasses.

The collection has been made using techniques that are firsts in the world of Nxt, such as laser cutting and five-axis Cnc machining to shape and create the volume of the fronts.

The bases are available flat and in 4- and 6-base. The material's flexibility and resistance are such that it can be curved to the exact desired effect. Its strength can be seen from the ergonomic bending of the frame autocurved solely by the lenses. Overlaying two different bases on one frame further accentuates the difference between the fronts, that are suspended, detached from the browbar or monobloc.

The forms: square, trapezoid, pilot, round, rectangular cut-out and elliptical with pierced sides. The ranges of lightly translucent colours come in two families: 'pop' colours with apple green, orange and pink, and 'metallic' with black, mauve and mirror/silver. Solo or superimposed, the colours create novel and explosive effects.

The collection of 15 optical models spans the entire range of these features. The Xit models perfectly complement the Inclassables, boasting technological innovation and avant-garde design on a flat and 6-base double front or stand-alone design. With a round ergonomic bar in nickel silver and a 4-base Nxt front or a flat stainless steel bar with integrated pad arms and suspended flat Nxt front, this range of models with their variety of different personalities forms a complete, harmonious and fully-fledged collection.

The sunwear collection consists of 12 models. The eccentric, flamboyant forms are achieved by superimposing a 4 base on a 6 base. Extra-large semi-round, monobloc rectangular and large rectangular with separate eyes. Go for the mirror version and the apple green or crystal colours.
