New Versace and Versus models
The new Versace and Versus collections presented at Silmo, Paris, feature sober style and young carefree spirit, respectively.
More delicate decorations and refined shapes illustrate the style of the Maison: functional and innovative, the new Versace collection proposes generous shapes in a range of bubbly colors with shaded lenses and new hinges. Swarovski crystals are confirmed as an essential part of the collection.
In model VE 4062B the famous Medusa logo stands out on a round metal plate decorated with Swarovski crystals and enamels in colors to match the plastic temples and front-piece. Contrasting colors from caramel to amber, from plum to strawberry red, make this model and the slightly convex lenses a must for spring.
On the metal front piece of mask model VE 2042B there are two rows of glittering Swarovski crystals with the Medusa head mounted in the center; each temple is decorated with a row of Swarovski crystals.
The new hinges on model VE 4065 create a half-moon effect when the temples are closed. The Versace logo is mounted on the injected temple. The palette of colors ranges from musk green to tortoise to red.
In the Monogram line, the drop-shape model VE 4080 shows the Medusa head on a silver plate and a Greek key pattern runs along the hinges to create a geometrical mosaic. The black front piece contrasts sharply with the red or orange interior to catch the attention.
Versace brings a classical, masculine model up to date in VE 4082. The temples with a Greek key pattern stand out in the colored versions with their veined marble effect.
The Versus collection for spring 2006 centers around a blaze of contrasting and shaded colors, a triumph of ornaments on the frames and frequently with squared off lenses.
Model VR 6033 is the most representative of the collection and has a touch of Sixties disco style. The model has injected frames in metallic colors like green, musk and blue. The large lenses are reminiscent of big TV screens and come in shaded colors. The Versus symbol, the lion's head, is proposed in silver plated metal and appears in relief on the temples.
A unisex model (VR 5027) is characterized by a perforated metal framework with an X on the front piece. The lenses are suspended inside the structure to create a particularly intriguing effect. The temples are also in perforated metal on which the logo stands out. The slightly convex lenses are available in shaded colors.
The unisex model (VR 5023) consists of a mask frame in metal and two layers of acetate in contrasting colors. For example, one model has an orange exterior and a mint green interior and another is Bordeaux red with silver. The lenses are rectangular and elongated with a marked and decisive cut.
VR 5024 is another unisex model with a squared off metal front piece, a marked cut and slightly convex, shaded lenses. The temples are also metal in colors that contrast with the front piece and they range from pink and strawberry to green and black.
All Versus and Versace eyewear is produced by Luxottica and the lenses give 100% UV protection.
