New Roberto Cabras 4 Twist collection

At Silmo 2005 Trenti will present a new Roberto Cabras collection, the '4 twist dimensional hinge'.

The idea came from the constant proposals in the clothing area and requests by the market for reversible garments, an idea that has also been applied to glasses.

The rectangular temples come with 4 different decorations. These are changed simply by rotating an internal flex mechanism to give each pair of glasses 4 different looks: the first has rhinestones, the second wood, the third three shades of leather, and the last the Roberto Cabras laser logo.

The 4 versions are used depending on circumstances and the clothes being worn. It will also be possible to have versions with more specific decorations by changing the details with, for example, the application of Swarovski, rectangular stones, leather worked in different ways and many other possibilities.

The 4 Twist part is made in aluminum for lightness. This part is perforated for the insertion of the steel core used to operate the 'Twist detail'.

How the twist works: the rectangular detail is pushed toward the nose-piece so that it is released from the square washer in the temple, the twist is then turned. When the detail has been chosen, it returns and is automatically locked by the square washer.

The front-piece is in non-allergic bronze with a soldered flex monoblock Obe, which will be strengthened and slightly thickened during production to give the glasses stability. The end-pieces are in Mazzucchelli acetate.
