New Oxydo campaing shot in Miami
An exclusive set was specially chosen for the photo shoot for the newest ad of the Oxydo sunglasses collection, manufactured and distributed by the Safilo Group. The new campaign, shot in Florida, demonstrates true originality as the Miami Everglades provided the stunning backdrop.
The campaign was produced within a unique, striking landscape, amid the marshlands of the southern United States and the nature reserves of the native American Indians, in a zone renowned as being 'home to alligators'. The creatures' curiosity was so aroused by what was going on that they moved around backstage, happy to oblige the photographers.
This distinctive, unusual location is also a popular tourist destination and was chosen because of the remarkable colours of its sky, with brilliant white clouds starkly contrasted against a clear azure sky, ideal for drawing the eye to Oxydo sunglasses.
Photographers, models and all staff involved in the ad campaign travelled to the set on board airboats, the unmistakable flat-bottomed skiffs powered by large propellers, which are vital for moving through the wetlands. These special boats also provided the background to several shots, together with picturesque vintage cars that were perfect in keeping with the atmosphere of the shoot.
The model chosen for the ad campaign was the beautiful Hungarian, Reka Ebergenyi, who has also worked for Dior, Cartier and Rolex. She was photographed alongside English model, Greg Payne, and Jayr Corputy, the Dutch model and renowned Amsterdam PR.
The end result is big on impact: the campaign produced hot pictures that fully reflect the young, trendy spirit of the Oxydo collection, represented by models like 'Bailando', 'Chorus', 'Armonia', 'Rocker', 'Nevermind', 'Hip Hop', 'Break' and 'Excalibur'.
The pictures were also used to create a series of shop window ads for opticians stores that are guaranteed to turn a few heads.
