New Contact Day 30 Compatic Toric from Zeiss

Contact Day 30 Compatic Toric, developed on the basis of the BioLens patent, are the new toric monthly and biocompatible contact lenses from Carl Zeiss.

Thanks to the combination of the new innovative material, Vitafilcon A BioLens, with proven tolerability, slim and flexible geometry, Contact Day 30 Compatic Toric are suitable for eyes that are more sensitive and with low lacrimation. They can be worn for several hours throughout the day and for a whole month.

Through Bionics, the scientific discipline that analyzes biological and natural phenomena so that they can be reproduced and used for technical purposes, a new material has been developed for the production of contact lenses: Vitafilcon A Biolens. The human cornea, and the stroma in particular, has been taken as an example. The special lamellate structure of the fibers of collagen in the stroma gives the cornea its transparency, the correct level of humidity, elasticity and parameter stability.

The artificial polymeric structure of this new material is provided with characteristics that are very similar to those of the human cornea and therefore it guarantees complete biocompatibility. Compared to traditional axis stabilization (prism ballast) systems, modern technology applied to this new product makes it possible to produce areas with different thicknesses, but without the inevitable stabilization-induced prismatic effect in the optical area.

Contact Day Compatic Toric are available in cylinder corrections -0.75, -1.25, -1.75, -2.25.
