Micromega Ottica monobrand in Mexico City
On Presidente Masaryk-Pasaje Polanco, the street right in the center of Mexico City where the fashion houses have their stores, and attended by the director of the Ice agency for Mexico, Andrea Ferrari, the Italian ambassador Felice Scauso inaugurated the 'Micromega Ottica - El Anteojo Mas Ligero Del Mundo' monobrand store on November 28th.
It is the first monobrand store to be granted under franchise by ArteVedo. After the success of the first outlet opened in Venice in December 2003, it intends to extend the concept of this unique store by creating others.
Roberto Carlon, inventor of Micromega and chairman of Arte Vedo, explained why Mexico was chosen: 'To produce our eyewear we need opticians who are also highly qualified laboratory technicians. Furthermore, they must undergo a long training period at our laboratory in Venice and they must be passionate about the philosophy of our glasses which, apart from being the lightest in the world (the frame weighs less than one gram), are entirely made to measure and personalized in a thousand different ways. For the moment we have found all this in Mexico where people have real skills and have recognized this opportunity. This doesn't mean that the next store can't be much closer'.
