
Launch of Fiorucci collection at Mido
Edwin Co. Jp, owner of the Fiorucci brand since 1990, and Fiorucci Design Office, a subsidiary of the Japanese parent company and home for Fiorucci style and European license management, announce the launch of the Fiorucci Eyewear Collection line, which will be presented at the next Mido (Pav. 14/I Stand B38-D38) in Milan from May 6 through May 9.
The precursor of 'designer glasses' with its highly successful first license in 1978, Fiorucci comes back with a collection created and distributed for the European market by Eye Concept Limited, a division of the Arts Group of Hong Kong, which already handles Fiorucci Eyewear products in Asia, and is also an important partner in the opening of mono-brand Fiorucci stores in Asia (Hong Kong, China and Korea).
The new license strengthens the licensing policy pursued by the Japanese group for the Fiorucci brand, which already includes women's and children's apparel, footwear, perfumes, gifts and gadgets, bijoux and, coming soon, household linen.
A new strategy aimed at promoting the brand on international markets through local and prestigious production and distribution partnerships that can meet global awareness and positioning objectives.
