ImpactX, shatterproof lenses guaranteed for life

Rudy Project, one of the leaders in the design and production of technical eyewear, has always invested in the search for innovative materials and solutions in the optics sector.

Presented at Silmo, Paris, the latest from the Veneto-based company is ImpactX lenses, an exclusive formula that guarantees they are shatterproof for life. ImpactX lenses use Nxt (an Intercast Europe registered trademark), a material that belongs to a family of optical polymers in polyurethane and they are patented, transparent and shatterproof.

Thanks to the use of Nxt, scratch-resistant coatings and the best photochromic and polarizing technologies, the ImpactX line has excellent optical qualities, lightness and durability. Nxt is absolutely the strongest material for lenses so the ImpactX line is guaranteed for life against breakage or cracking.

They also have a refraction, internal stress and color dispersion index that is lower than carbonate. This is why images are clearer and sharper, the rainbow effect is limited and vision comfort is greater.

ImpactX lenses have superior vision clarity in all weather conditions thanks to the last generation photochromic and polarizing technology and they have excellent scratch resistant properties as they have been treated with Quartz, an exceptional scratch and dust resistant coating.

Extremely light (with weights reduced by 20% compared to CR-39 and by 10% compared to polycarbonate), the ImpactX line also features an exclusive semi-rigid platform which guarantees exceptional lens durability as well as incomparable safety and protection.
