Eyeconcept obtains Fiorucci license also for Europe
Eyeconcept, a division of Arts Optical of Hong Kong, has obtained the right to extend the license for Fiorucci eyewear to Europe, where the brand has been absent since 1988. One of the first fashion brands to grant the license for eyewear (to Metalflex) in 1978, Fiorucci eyewear has not been sold on the Old Continent since the end of the Eighties, and they made only a brief appearance on the US market at the end of the Nineties.
The five-year agreement with Eyeconcept was signed April 2003 for Asia (excluding Japan). The company is contacting partners for the distribution of the line in the main European markets. The first collection will be presented at Mido (May 6-9).
