Eleventh Sover Optica store opening in Romania

The eleventh Sover Optica store has recently been inaugurated at the futuristic Iulius Mall at Timosoara, Romania.

The new Sover store covers over 100 square meters and is furnished in Italian style with elements in natural rock, loads of glass and crystal combined with top-quality wood. The outlet has 25 brands and the same number of sun and vision lines, including Alviero Martini Point of View and Mariella Burani.

Paolo Cannicci, Chairman of Sover, is pleased about the extension and the store's strong Italian imprint: 'The presence of Sover in Romania has required considerable investment which has allowed us to arrive in a boom area ahead of time', he told Corriere delle Alpi. 'We have to concentrate on niche areas of the market where top quality and design are perceived as real product pluses', Cannicci added.

Last year, Sover's billings totaled 18 million euros, a 28% increase compared to 2003. For 2005, the company is expecting an increase of 10%, a consolidation of its presence in euro-markets and the birth of new direct sales formulas for Spain, Portugal, Switzerland and France.
