Distribution agreement between Hoya and Transitions Optical

Hoya and Transitions Optical have announced a new collaboration agreement for the distribution of Transitions lenses in Europe and the Middle East.

From February 2006, Hoya will begin distributing index 1.50 Transitions lenses in the Hilux monofocal geometry and the Hoyalux Summit Pro, Summit CD and Wide progressive lenses in brown and gray.

The launch will take place in two stages: in France, Great Britain and Italy from February 2006, and in Germany, Benelux, Spain, Portugal, Sweden, Switzerland, Denmark, Finland, Hungary and Poland in March 2006.

This distribution agreement is an extension of the excellent collaboration between Hoya and Transitions Optical already begun in the United States.

For Hoya, this launch represents an important widening of its range of ophthalmic lenses. For Transitions Optical, the partnership is a considerable enlargement of its client portfolio.
