Composition before bankruptcy for Metzler International Italia, Sintesi and United Optical
The judges of the civil court of Venice and president Roberto Zacco have accepted the project by Mestre accountant Piero De Bei and have granted Metzler International Italia and the two subsidiaries Sintesi and United Optical composition before bankruptcy procedures.
The three companies' financial situation had worsen because of serious problems at Chinese multinational Moulin Global Eyecare, the company that took them over some years ago.
Magistrates handed over proceedings for the three companies to accountant Maurizio Nardon and they are close to being bought by new owners. There are at least three competitors: a cartel of entrepreneurs from the Venice area, an Italian eyewear manufacturer and a foreign company. They have already put forward their proposals, but negotiations were suspended until Venetian judges came to a decision.
Nardon will handle the ongoing situation and the negotiations for the sale to the best bidder so that principal creditors can be paid in accordance with the new composition regulations.
