Arnault, Armani and Rosso shareholders in Safilo
'Giorgio Armani and Renzo Rosso (founder of Diesel) will hold shares in the company. I am certain': the confirmation came straight from the Chairman of Safilo, Vittorio Tabacchi.
The entrepreneur from the Veneto region also revealed that another shareholder will be the world leader in luxury goods, LVMH (Louis Vuitton - Moët Hennessy): 'They have not yet said anything to me, but the last time I saw the Chairman, Bernard Arnault, he said he wanted to invest, even with a share of less than 2%'.
As to the Ipo presentation, Tabacchi commented: 'It's doing very well, we feel very comfortable about the way the company presentation is going, especially after the road show in the United States where we are better known than in Italy given that 50% of our billings comes from America. British and US funds have made requests for tens of millions of euros'.
