US, Bausch & Lomb Inc.: Purevision Extended-Wear Contact Lenses To Investigators

Bausch & Lomb can provide its PureVision extended-wear contact lenses to investigators in the United States taking part in a clinical study.

A federal court approved use of the lenses last month, amending its initial ruling prohibiting the manufacture and sale of the lenses in the United States.

In June, a federal judge ruled that B&L, by making PureVision lenses, infringed on a patent held by a subsidiary of Ciba Vision Inc.
