UK: increasing of the specs average cost

According to a survey conduced by the British Federation of Ophthalmic and Dispensing Optician's (Fodo), the average retail cost of a pair of spectacles is nowadays £ 144.52 (approximately 207 euro), up by £ 17.43 (+13%) comparing to a year ago.

Through its Optics at a Glance, Fodo highlights a number of trends in the British market and also the plight of the half a million elderly people who have no access to eye care services.
