Trying eyewear virtually online

The German Kuratorium Gutes Sehen (Kgs - Commission for Good Sight) has launched a new idea for the public on its Internet site: the 'Kgs-Onlinestyler', an interactive tool for trying on glasses.

Consumers can access this service without a password, without any particular registration procedures and without installing specific software. Application is simple: you upload your photograph (or, alternatively, an 'example' photo supplied by the program) and then match it with the various eyewear models. The photos can be printed or sent by email and are cataloged according to criteria such as sex, age and shape of face.

The catalog is then updated and extended continuously.
