Trenti again competes for Silmo Gold

Trenti again competes for Silmo Gold

After the successes of 2001 and 2002, Trenti is participating in the 2003 edition of the 'Silmo d'Or' in the children's eyewear category with a new series of models. And one that stands out because of its innovative characteristics is the 'Jumping' project included in the Lilliput collection.

The name of the new line, 'Jumping', immediately conveys the idea of something very flexible and elastic. And in fact the main parts of the glasses, nose, end-pieces and temples, have a steel spring that is exceptionally flexible and strong. To achieve this result, it was necessary to define spring solidity, locate a precise soldering point, and find the ideal position for closing the circle under the end-piece to make it invisible. The system used for fixing the acetate ciliaries, which are heat-blocked with special pins, is excellent.

Thanks to the 'spring' effect, the glasses can cope with bending, curving and considerable amounts of twisting. The front part, for example, can be bent upward or downward, inward or outward without any problem.

Flexibility and user-friendliness not only make 'Jumping' glasses technologically advanced, but also highly practical and reliable. Trenti's glasses are capable of standing up to and exceeding the various 'tests' kids subject them to.

The other good points about 'Jumping' are the fineness and colors of the acetate ciliaries, which give harmony to the eyewear's structure and robustness as well as giving it a look that's cheerful; the special double-injected molded end-pieces provide a completely new two-color version of this important accessory.

Jumping also comes in a version with 'aluminum' temples where the spring is on the nose only: fine and light, in bright 'anodized' colors, they have an opening angle in excess of 180°.

The 'Jumping' line can also be fitted with 'curl' type temples, which makes the eyewear more adaptable to the child's face. In this case, the rest of the temple is entirely covered with a sleeve in 'thermoshrunk' material which adapts perfectly to any surface, shape and thickness, and is available in a vast range of colors which match the frames. The metals used for all versions are non-allergic in origin and after galvanic bath treatment.

Initially, the 'Jumping' line will have 6 models, each one in various gages and colors. Materials research, production studies, design and the creation of the prototypes are the work of Roberto Cabras, who has already contributed to Trenti's successes.
