Silhouette: new eyewear for summer 2004

Silhouette: new eyewear for summer 2004

Silhouette presents summer 2004 with some highly innovative color and style proposals. But it's the colors that define Silhouette's 'Tropical Sun' concept with sunglasses 2004 featuring shades inspired by tropical fruits.

The idea has produced Papaya orange, Lychee pink, Kiwi green and the transparent blue of Aqua. These are the new nuances proposed by the company for the next warm-weather season, and which take the shape of a completely new line, Spx Modern Art, and the continuation of others, Titan Minimal Art and Minimal X.

2004 will also see a true revolution in style at the house of Silhouette; fully expressed in the sunglasses line, Spx Modern Art, it's a long way from the minimalism that has symbolized the brand to date and the decidedly 'generous' proportions in today's colors will please anyone who is nostalgic for the legendary years of the Seventies and Eighties.

Spx Modern Art collection, model 3175Frames in Spx, a synthetic material patented by Silhouette, for very strong, but at the same time, lightweight products. Shapes range from models in regular sizes (like 3174, 4049 and 4050), the unequivocally 'generous' proportions of the wraparounds (such as model 3175), to the extra-large model 3178, a genuine plunge into the Seventies.

Spx Modern Art collection, model 3178Like all those in the Spx Modern Art line, this model offers glasses with all the appeal of retro fashion in state-of-the-art materials.

With their Spx frames and titanium ß rich temples, these sunglasses are extremely light to wear, despite appearances to the contrary. In fact their generous proportions in no way compromise the comfort and lightness that are Silhouette's trademark.

Colors are tropical (Papaya, Lychee, Kiwi and Aqua), but there's also black, brown and silver; temple ends are two-colored and personalized with the Silhouette logo.

There's also a multiplicity of new ideas for the Titan Minimal Art, Minimal X and Titan Metallic lines.

Titan Minimal Art collection, model 8075 with frosted lensesThe Titan Minimal Art line sees the introduction of 'tropical' color variations (Papaya, Lychee, Kiwi and Aqua) but, above all, the lenses have been given a refined frosted finish that makes the outer edges appear satinized. The result is a kind of tone-on-tone framework and it is particularly appealing in the new butterfly wraparound (model 8075) which collected a Silmo Gold at Paris last month. Here, too, there is a large variety of decidedly trendy models to please women and men.

There are three new proposals in the Minimal X line, which features rimless frames and Spx temples. In model 3171, temples are tinged with tropical colors and the lenses are frost-effect, models 3172 and 4048 have polarized lenses in brown, blue and bronze, to guarantee additional protection from sunlight and glare.

Model 8586 in the Titan Metallic collection, the only one in which the 'temples bend', is the very latest from Silhouette. Casual eyewear that's perfect, whatever you're wearing.
