Silhouette, Increase in 2002 Results

Silhouette International, the Austrian eyewear company, closed 2002 with billings of 200 million euros, in increase of 8% compared to the previous year.

In the wake of these good results, the company is setting its sights in an easterly direction for the near future. 'Our chief objective for 2003 is the East', explained Tassilo Gruber, the company's sales and marketing manager. 'We will concentrate on markets that have high potential for development, such as China, Korea, Japan and the Philippines, and resource allocation and strategy development will be in this direction'.

Export has always played an important role in the group's activities; as well as the eyewear brand of the same name, Silhouette, it also has adidas eyewear and Daniel Swarovsky Paris crystal eyewear.
