Safilo returns to Italy

Safilo presented the guidelines for the new production organization to the internal regional and territorial unions yesterday: the key point of the new industrial proposal is the gradual transfer of the production of metal eyewear from the facility in Traun, Austria, to Italy.

Support for the workers at the Austrian facility will be provided by a 'social' package, totally paid for by the group at Padua.

The operation will concentrate the production of all brands with greatest added value, those from the most important fashion houses, characterized by more sophisticated design and with the most daring innovative content.
