Positive results for the Hong Kong Optical Fair

More than 7,600 buyers visited the Hong Kong Optical Fair, which was organised by the Trade Development Council (Tdc) from November 5-7 at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre. About 5,000 of them were coming from the Chinese mainland and overseas.

The visitor attendance of the three-day event is summarised as follows:
- total attendance: 7,624, up 3.6%;
- buyers from out of Hong Kong: 4,974, up 2.9%;z
- visitors from Hong Kong's key optical export markets registered moderate growth: Usa (3.3%), Italy (11.1%), the Chinese mainland (9.2%), Canada (42.3%), Korea (45.9%), Singapore (22%) and India (36.8%).

The next Hong Kong Optical Fair will be held from November 3-5, 2004 at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre.
