PlanetVA at Silmo

PlanetVa, an independent Belgium company, has created an innovative services platform for opticians which will be officially presented at Silmo 2003.

It involves a system that allows opticians to order online the products, including stock and prescription products, proposed by various partners (optical industries, suppliers, etc.). It also offers them all the information they need in real time, without the need for new hardware or software. The use of the site is completely free.

The system has in fact been in operation since 2000, but only as a pilot version for Australia. According to the promoters, opticians who use the platform will increase their turnover by 20%.

In addition to Australia and New Zealand, it is now being proposed for France, Belgium and Holland, and it is expected to develop rapidly all over Europe.
