Paris, Tabacchi in Front Row at Dior Fashion Show

Vittorio and Tatiana Tabacchi applauded enthusiastically yesterday at the Paris showing of Dior's spring-summer 2003 haute couture collection which paid homage to Japan and its culture.

The production of the French brand's eyewear will be signed by Safilo: Dior's eyewear for next spring will have soft colors, wraparound designs and total comfort, thanks to the use of optyl, an ultra-light but strong resin patented by Tabacchi and used exclusively for its eyewear.

In 2002 Christian Dior Couture billings totaled 492 million euros, an increase of 41% compared to the previous year. In addition, in 2002 the fashion house's mono-brand boutiques registered growth of 44% compared to 2001.
