Paris: Anfao press conference

'Italian eyewear hot on the heels of emergent markets: results for the first six months of 2003 and strategies for the future': this is the theme of the press conference due to be held at 11.30 a.m. on Thursday, October 16th at the Italian Embassy in Paris, with the presence of Giovanni Dominedò, Italy's ambassador in Paris, Adolfo Urso, Vice Minister for Manufacturing Businesses with responsibility for Foreign Trade, and Fabio Casciotti, Head of the Ice (Institute for the Promotion of Foreign Trade) Office in Paris.

The president of Anfao and Mido, Cirillo Coffen Marcolin, will be presenting sector figures and the 2004 edition of Mido, with a foretaste of the new Mido Eyesystem.

The subjects discussed will include the sensitive question of counterfeiting, initiatives to protect the brands produced and the new provisions of the Italian financial act.

After the press conference, the Italian Cultural Institute will be the prestigious backdrop for the eyewear fashion show organized by Anfao and Ice, when journalists and buyers will have a preview of the new spring/summer 2004 collections from major Italian producers.
