Optimed 2004 at Tunis

The Societè des Foires Internationales of Tunis has announced that from March 5 through 7, 2004, the second edition of 'Optimed 2004', the Mediterranean Optics and Eyewear fair, will be held at the La Kram Exhibition Park and International Trade Center in Tunis.

The fair takes place every two years and it will present the entire optics/eyewear range from ophthalmic and sun lenses to instruments, materials and accessories for opticians, materials and components for the manufacture of glasses and lenses, and instruments, materials and accessories for sale to the public.

Optimed 2004 aims at developing a Mediterranean market where industrialists and optical and eyewear suppliers can meet with professional Maghrebi and African buyers (opticians, importers, distributors). Large numbers of Tunisian and foreign professional visitors, Algerians and Libyans in particular, are expected to attend. Scientific seminars and round tables will also be held during the exhibition.

For the occasion of the fair, Tunisair will be giving exhibitors and visitors a 50% discount on its flights, and certain hotels will be offering special tariffs.
