Matrix sunglasses: from the big screen to reality
2003 was nominated the year of the 'Matrix'. The sequels to The Matrix movie, 'Reloaded' and 'Revolutions'' are the entertainment events of the year, but that's not all: they are a sales and usage phenomenon of significant proportions.
There can be no doubt that The Matrix product which had the biggest commercial success is the line of official sunglasses licensed by Warner Bros and distributed in Italy exclusively by Business Class of Rome. The first collection was launched for the very first time last May at the same time as The Matrix Reloaded hit the cinemas.
After its enormous success in spring-summer 2003, the Matrix Official Sunglasses collection is preparing for the fall-winter season with the conclusion of the movie trilogy.
The Matrix official collection is the work of Richard Walker, owner of Blinde Design Project (New York), and a famous designer of Hollywood sets. There are four models, each one linked to a particular character in the movie. They come in one color only, metallic gray, just like the ones worn by the actors on set:
- Neo is worn by protagonist, Keanu Reeves, they're unisex and have an elongated oval shape;
- Trinity is worn by protagonist, Carrie Anne Moss, and has feminine lines;
- Agent is the model worn by enemy par excellence, Agent Smith; they're also unisex and have a square shape;
- Twins is worn by the two new enemies, and they have masculine geometrical lines.
