Marcolin Presents Montblanc Eyewear

The new Montblanc Eyewear collection produced by Marcolin will make its Italian debut in Milan on February 6, 2003. The collection, which is the result of an agreement reached in 2001 between the Veneto company and the international Richmond Group, includes 18 sunglasses and sight eyewear models for men and women.

In this collection innovative materials, refined colors and unostentatious tones blend with the soft shapes conceived by Marcolin designers at the ultra-new styling office at Treviso, to make eyewear that fully complements the face of the wearer.

Initially, Montblanc eyewear will be distributed in 2600 outlets, 400 of which are in Italy and 200 in the United States. The main target for 2003 will be European countries and the American continent, as well as important Asian markets.

'The decision to make and sell a collection of eyewear with a top-of-the range positioning' said Maurizio Marcolin 'is a great incentive for us, as is the international nature of the license. I am convinced that the work carried out by our creative team, together with the input from Montblanc International, will lead to positive results in main world markets for such a refined product.'
