Italian Style' at FIT Museum in New York

Adolfo Urso, the Italian Deputy minister for Productive Activities, announced that Italian fashion landed in New York in a special event from Feb. 11 to April 12 2003. Urso will inaugurate the manifestations in the American city. The event is comprised of an exhibition titled: "Fashion: Italian Style" placed at the Fashion Institute of Technology Museum.

It represents the biggest exhibition ever showed in a New York museum since the famous "The Italian Metamorphosis 1943-1968" in the Guggenheim in 1994. The initiative shows "the commitment of the government towards this sector," said Urso also remembering that the "government set aside funds to support the fashion, textile, shoes and clothes industry."
