Germany: imports of sunglasses increase
At 21.8 million pieces, in the first six months of 2003 German imports of sunglasses increased by 8.9%.
The main country to profit from the positive trend was the People's Republic of China, which is still the principal supplier. Some gaps in the German market were filled by Holland, which supplied 1.1 million pieces, an increase of as much as 605.9%, but these were mainly goods that had been re-exported from other countries.
