Furla Ophthalmic, at Mido for the First Time with De Rigo

At this year's Mido the Furla ophthalmic collection produced by De Rigo appeared for the first time. Last September the Bologna fashion house signed an agreement for the production of ophthalmic and sun eyewear with the company headed by brothers Ennio and Walter De Rigo, which includes in its portfolio of owned brands Lozza, Sting and Police and licensed brands Fila, Etro, Celine, Givenchy, Fendi, Furla, La Perla, Onix and Lowe.

The new sight line has models in acetate featuring sinuous shapes for the woman who wants to make the most of her femininity, in bold, vivacious tones, and in glasant or rimmed metal (also with acetate temples) in shapes that are simple and square, almost masculine.
Enhancing the models is the brand's logo in the form of a stylized 'F' printed in silver on the temple, or, in a more discreet version, as a small decoration on the ends of the frames.

Mod. VU4818, in metal with acetate templesThe emphasis of the logo is not accidental. According to Giovanna Furlanetto, president of the label that's distributed in 64 countries thanks to 178 mono-brand stores, "eyewear is a fashion product that makes a considerable contribution to brand visibility through mono-brand stores and selected opticians".
