Eyewear and Fashion in the Usa
An overwhelming majority of the U.S. adult population feels that sunglasses are an important part of their fashion style. This was proven in Vca's consumer survey conducted with over 2000 adult consumers in July and October.
Nearly three out of four consumers reported that they consider sunglasses as a fashion accessory. The survey data indicates that the typical consumer who agrees that sunglasses are a significant element of today's fashion is one who is single (84 percent), Asian (83 percent), belongs to the 18-34 age group (84 percent) and holds a part-time job (81 percent).
Eyeglasses are likewise becoming an important accessory to American fashion. The Vca survey results suggest that most eyewear users select their eyeglasses very carefully according to the current trend, as well as on how the eyewear fits on their faces. Fifty-five percent of those surveyed agree to the statement, "Eyeglasses are a fashion accessory". A typical respondent who shares this view is one who is 18-34 years of age (60 percent), from the Pacific (64 percent), single (61 percent), Hispanic (63 percent) and a part-time worker (63 percent).
