Certottica, Conference on the Eyewear Regulation Scenario at Mido Yesterday

The conference organized by Certottica and Anfao, 'The regulation scenario in the eyewear sector', took place yesterday at Mido's Sala Bolaffio. The participants (about one hundred) had the chance to listen to the General Manger of Certottica, Luigino Boito, as well as a large number of other speakers: some of the subjects discussed were the changes to directive 89/686/CEE regarding individual protection devices (IPD), which include sunglasses, health-linked problems, technical regulations and legislative provisions for corrective lenses.

The organizers emphasized that one of the reasons for having this conference was to provide assistance for companies when undergoing Ministry of Health inspections of medical devices. Specifically, indications were given regarding technical documentation, manufacturer and distributor responsibilities and product conformity.
