Canada: Opticians Want to Halt Cosmetic Contact Lens Sales

London Drugs shouldn't be allowed to sell cosmetic contact lensen, the Alberta Opticians' Association was to argue in court Wednsday. The lenses change eye colour but don't improve eye sight.

The Opticians' Association, before the Alberta Court of Appeal, say because the lenses are not sold by professionals, they put the public at risk. London Drugs and the company that makes the lenses say they are safe and approved by Health Canada.
