
Alexander McQueen best British stylist 2003
For the fourth time Alexander McQueen has been awarded the 'Lycra British Style Award', the 'Oscar' for British fashion.
The award ceremony was held at London's Old Billingsgate Market and was presented by Pamela Anderson in a suit by Stella McCartney, one of the stylists who lost to McQueen (who preceded also Roland Mouret, Matthew Williamson and Julien Macdonald).
In the other categories, awards went to Julien Macdonald (best Glamour Designer), Paul Smith (best contemporary designer and best menswear retailer), Manolo Blahnik (best accessories designer), Sophia Kokosalaki (most innovative stylist).
The title of best chain of clothing stores went to Reiss, the best fashion journalist to Hilary Alexander of The Daily Telegraph, the best stylist to Katie Grand, the best model to Erin O' Connor and the best photographer to Mario Testino.
Victoria Beckham and Robbie Williams won awards for the most stylish personalities on the British music scene. Minnie Driver and Ewan McGregor won for the cinema, but the award for the most stylish woman on TV went to Kim Cattrall, star of "Sex & the City". Lastly, David Beckham won the award in the sport category.
