Usa: Ophthalmic Community Discusses Common Concerns

American Academy of Ophthalmology (AAO), American Optometric Association (AOA), National Academy of Opticianry (NAO), Optical Laboratories Association (OLA), Optical Association of America (OAA), Prevent Blindness America (PBA) and the Vision Council of America (VCA) attended the meeting.

The meeting featured presentations by each of the attending organizations and a discussion on 'Check Yearly. See Clearly.' According to Joe LaMountain, VCA's Vice President of Strategic Communications, "This was a very productive meeting. The attendees all spoke very highly of the Check Yearly campaign and we received excellent feedback on ways to achieve our common goals."

The attendees were also very receptive to the new Check Yearly insert card. The insert card is a business-card sized informational piece that can be inserted into eyeglass cases every time someone purchases a new pair of glasses. The goal of the card is to encourage patients to schedule exams for their entire family.
