'Visibilia', a New Collection to Be Announced Soon
Visibilia launches a new collection: the official announcement should be made on December 18, when the next Mido 2003 opens. The Mestre-based company confirms the news that a new collection is on the way, as it already announced in the December 9 release in which it denied rumors that the Group was closing down and mentioned the increase in billings registered at the end of the third quarter of 2002 (up 17.8%).
The growth should be confirmed in the next quarter: forecasts in fact talk about an increase in sales of between 15 and 18%. The good results achieved by Alessandro Dell'Acqua's eyewear seem to have been fundamental; his first real collection of sunglasses and reading glasses was presented on November 5. 'We are very pleased', the general manager of the Group, Maurizio Schiavone, told Repubblica, 'because the number of orders we have received since the beginning of November is the same as the total for the whole of last year'.
Good performance on the Italian market, too, where a 'sales network restyling policy is giving good results'. However, growth in exports has been particularly good, rising by approximately 25% and specifically to France, Eastern European countries and the USA. The Visibilia Group's consolidated billings are 25 million euros.
