Sun and Sport Sensation at the Vision Expo West Sports Bar

Vision Expo West 2002 was the debut of the Sun & Sport Summit, an interactive exhibit featuring the latest in sports vision and sunwear. Each day at Noon the UNLV Rebel Cheerleaders led the procession through the exhibit hall to the Sports Bar to model the latest fashions and trends in sunwear for the Vision Council of America Trends presentation hosted by VCA National Spokesperson, Rene Soltis. The VCA Trends presentation was rebroadcast each day on the 16-monitor video wall in the Summit, which featured the logos of the companies sponsoring the event.

To celebrate the inaugural day exhibitors and attendees were treated to the Sports Bar Spectacular Bash featuring the Bad Habits, the original "Eye Docs of Rock", playing everyone's favorite rock and roll hits and keeping the floor rocking until 8pm. Sun & Sport Product Lists were distributed with all modeled sunwear style numbers and the vendors with their booth numbers, to assist in locating these products on the show floor. Tip cards on how to sell sun and sport eyewear to their patients were available to attendees.
