Safilo opens its new London branch

Safilo opens its new London branch, which joins the Group's historic branch located in Arrowgate, North Yorkshire. The new operation's area is a recently renovated period building located in High Holborn, near Oxford Street, in Old Town Hall, London.

Vittorio Tabacchi, the Safilo Group's president, thus comments the new opening: 'London is an extremely important city for the fashion world - this is where new trends are very often conceived and is hence a strategic watchdog for those working in this sector. The showroom is targeted at all our opticians/customers, to offer them an additional service and strengthen our collaboration'.

The opening of the London showroom closely follows the recent inauguration of the one in the Champs Elysées, Paris, while yet another branch was previously opened in New York.

These days will see Safilo's presentation of its new Spring/Summer 2003 collection in its new premises. The Group's turnover surpassed 510 million euros during the first half of this year.
