Luxottica Collection, Dozens Of Colors And Models In Titanium For The More Demanding

Eighteen new models have been added to the Luxottica collection: 10 in metal, 3 in titanium and 5 in plastic. Some of the eyewear for women have decorations that can't be seen from the front, but appear as a surprise at the side, other models boast special enamels on the arms and perforations that add to the glamour effect.

Each item is available in at least five colors and in an attempt to please anyone who is allergic to nickel, some models are made in titanium alloy. But different materials often appear in the same pair of glasses. As in Mod. 1322, which has plastic end pieces and arms and metal temples. Slim and transparent, it has elongated lines with rectangular lenses and rounded-off edges.

Mod. 1322 and Mod. 1324 both come in clip-on versions in metal: in both cases, the bridge is joined lower down than the temple allowing sun lenses to be attached by four little hooks on the lenses themselves. Mod. 1323 is low-cut and squared-off and Mod. 1324 is more rounded.

Mod. 4293 in acetate has metal arms and wide, slightly oval lenses that are squared-off at the outer edges. They come in soft, shaded colors such as pink and pale blue, or with two layers of acetate which creates a striped effect. The side fitted arm is enhanced by circular details in ton-sur-ton enamel that creates a braided pattern.

Other new ideas in the collection include the new colors for Mod. 3175 half glasses, now available in black and brown with gradations of pale blue. Mod. 3177 comes in shaded gray and aquamarine, whereas Mod. 2235, in metal, is available in metallic powder pink.
