Christian Dior Nine-Month Revenue Up

The figure was up from 8.90 billion euros (US$8.74 billion) in the same period last year, the Paris-based company said. Revenue at its Christian Dior Couture fashion house increased 46 percent to 361 million euros (US$354.3 million).

Christian Dior noted that sales growth accelerated in the third quarter of the year. The holding company said sales at its 138 Dior boutiques have increased by more than 50 percent since the beginning of the year.

Nine-month revenue at LVMH increased 2.2 percent to 8.85 billion euros (US$8.69 billion). The LVMH luxury group includes Louis Vuitton leather goods, the Donna Karan line, Sephora cosmetic stores and Moet & Chandon Champagne.
